Images Masking with Alpha Channels

Extract complex objects from background with alpha channels

Alpha Channel Masking

Images Masking with alpha channels is a specific technique to isolate very complex objects from its image background. Images masking with alpha channels is usually employed when the edges of the objects are not sharp enough or not sufficiently defined and when a simple clipping path is not an adequate solution to isolate an object. Therefore, images masking with alpha channels will not provide a clipping path. The image masks are delivered with transparent or white background or a separate layer in .psd. or .tif format.

Images masking with alpha channels are also used for complex images or photos for which a clipping path with Pentool is not an adequate solution.

We use a combination of different image masking tools to extract an object from its background. As mentioned, alpha channels is a perfect solution for very complex images and to substantially reduce time and costs (e.g. clipping small wholes, small leaves on a tree, hair, fur).
